Anlageziel Redwheel EAFE Intrinsic Value Fund Fonds

The Fund aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing predominantly in a portfolio of international equities. The Fund primarily invests its assets (excluding cash and cash equivalents) in equity and equity linked securities of companies that are listed on a global stock market (excluding the United States and Canada). Although the Fund will invest in global markets (excluding the United States and Canada), nothing herein will restrict the Fund from gaining exposure to relevant investee companies via instruments listed or traded on a US or Canadian securities exchange. The Fund may also invest and gain exposure to fixed income instruments, including emerging market and sub-investment grade debt, and convertible securities. Equity and equity-linked securities include shares, depository receipts, warrants and other participation rights, index and participation notes and equity linked notes. The Investment Manager follows a long-term intrinsic value philosophy, underpinned by a belief that short term sentiment amongst market participants causes overreaction to news that has little or no impact on the long run value of a business. This overreaction causes share prices to diverge from the intrinsic value of the underlying business and provides an opportunity for long term investors to purchase shares at less than their true value. In the long term the share price tends to move closer to the intrinsic value of the business and this creates excess returns for investors who purchased shares at low valuations. The Investment Manager applies an appropriate valuation multiple to the estimate of normalised earnings of the business to form a view of intrinsic value. The Investment Manager purchases securities that trade at a significant discount to its estimate of intrinsic value and only if that is struck using conservative forecasts. The use of conservative forecasts introduces a ‘margin of safety’, which the Investment Manager believes is the aspect of value investing that offers investors some defence against permanent capital loss.
