EQS-News: Cherry SE renews promise of transparency while discontinuing quarterly forecasts
EQS-News: CHERRY SE
/ Key word(s): Forecast
Munich, 11 February 2025 - Starting in 2025, Cherry SE will discontinue quarterly forecasts and instead prioritize a reliable full-year outlook. Given the volatility of the capital markets and business environment, the Management Board has decided to discontinue quarterly forecasts in 2025 and instead focus on a reliable full-year outlook. This decision is driven in particular by the company's dependence on the political landscape in a year of an extraordinary general election, as well as the currently unforeseeable impact of existing and potential future U.S. import tariffs on goods manufactured in China. At the same time, the company remains committed to providing regular updates on business performance and key target metrics for 2025 through periodic company updates. On 27 February 2025, Cherry SE will report its preliminary figures for the fourth quarter and the 2024 financial year as planned. Oliver Kaltner, CEO of Cherry SE, explains: “As part of our restructuring measures over the past two years, we have made significant investments in capital market communication. The USA, Germany, and China remain our key target markets, influenced by both the U.S. presidential election and the German parliamentary elections. More than ever, business performance must be aligned with market conditions. Quarterly forecasts cannot be provided with sufficient reliability.”
